Hey, you're here! 😎

Race to 10K!

10K Deliveries 91%

Okay, I started DoorDash after being bombarded by their ads a couple of years ago – figured I’d give it a go. It began as a secret side hustle, but somehow I got a bit obsessed. I’ve just crossed 9,000 deliveries and I’m on my way to 10K! I want to celebrate this milestone with my Race to 10K – giving away a $100 DoorDash gift card every month until I hit 10,000 deliveries. Winners drawn on the 3rd of each month.

Simply fill in the form below to enter! Full terms and conditions.

Random Bad Joke?! C’mon! đŸ¤Ŗ

I submitted 10 puns to a joke-writing competition to see if any of them made the finals.
Sadly, no pun in ten did.

(got a worse joke?! send it through using the form below)

All good! 👍👍

Two thumbs up! I had one job: to get your order from them to you as quickly as possible.

I hope you’re enjoying your delivery! If it was food, my thermal bag should have kept it as hot (or cold) as possible.

Not. Happy. 😡

Sometimes, merchants make mistakes – it happens. If you ever receive an incorrect order or notice something’s missing, give the support team a shout via the app you used to place your order. They’re there to make things right and ensure your satisfaction.

As much as I’d love to personally fix any hiccups, my role is pretty straightforward: I’m the delivery person assigned to bring your order to your location. I only deliver the items the store give me, I don’t have anything to do with the preparation of your order. Once your delivery’s complete, I’m assigned my next job, probably at a different store in a different location.

Feedback 🤔

Rating your delivery person after each order may not seem like a big deal, but let me tell you, it’s cool when I see that 5-star rating pop up.

Just a heads up, the ratings for the merchant and the driver are separate, so if the merchant goofed up, please don’t hold it against your driver.

Now, for the platform (whether it’s DoorDash, UberEats, or the like), anything less than a 5-star rating suggests there might’ve been room for improvement in your delivery experience. The tricky part is, if your rating falls below 5 stars, we’re not told what went wrong, and that leaves us in the dark without a chance to make things right or improve. It can be a bit frustrating, to be honest.

If you ever want to give me a virtual high-five or let me know if there’s something I could do better, feel free to reach out using the form below.

Here’s the hot tip! đŸ”ĨđŸ”ĨđŸ”Ĩ

When I get a tip of $2 or more, I choose to pay it forward by using it to buy a meal through ShareTheMeal.

Tipping wasn’t always a thing here in Australia. But now, some of these apps let you show your appreciation for your delivery person by adding a tip. It’s a bit of a mixed bag for me – it’s pretty cool when I see one hit, but at the same time, feels a bit weird. That’s what got me thinking about using those tips to help someone else.

One thing to keep in mind is that when a tip comes in, we don’t actually know who sent it. So, we have to make an educated guess.

I want you to know how much I truly appreciate these gestures. By tipping me, you’re not only putting a smile on my face but also making sure someone else, somewhere in the world, gets a meal they really need.

I managed to hit 222 in 2024! Thanks to everyone who helped!

Special thanks to Sarah 🙏 who made bulk donations directly to my ShareTheMeal challenge and blew it up đŸ’Ŗ! 2024 goal reached before I was even halfway through the year!

Tree-Hugging Takeaway?đŸŒŗđŸŒ

Plot twist: 9,000+ deliveries later and your delivery driver actually gives a damn about the planet! I’ve partnered with Greenfleet to offset my carbon emissions through native reforestation. So your midnight McFlurry now comes with a complimentary side of environmental responsibility. You’re welcome, koalas! 🐨

Stuff 😜

Are you still reading this nonsense?! It’s not going to get any more interesting, but it might be helpful.

Delivery Notes: We often don’t get a chance to check delivery notes until we’ve reached your drop-off location and they automatically appear. If you have specific requests like leaving the delivery at a particular spot, prefer a special knock, or reside in the fourth unit on the left, please feel free to mention these in the delivery notes. Unfortunately, if you’re asking for extras like chopsticks or more mayonnaise when we’re already at your doorstep, it’s a bit tricky for us to accommodate (sorry about that)! If you do have a request for your driver at the merchant, the best thing to try is messaging, or calling (but that isn’t a guarantee either).

Lights: I do carry a torch, but it’s always greatly appreciated when your front porch lights are on after sundown.

Knock. Knock?: According to a delivery driver poll 83% of drivers don’t knock when they deliver an order, unless the person ordering specifically asks for a knock in the delivery instructions! The reason is a lot of people might have sleeping children, or dog that barks. So if you want a knock, remember to add that note! ✊✊
